Scouting professionals run the date to day business of the district. Professionals are also tasked with assisting in recruiting, training and motivating Scouters for all of the volunteer positions in the district. Scouting is a volunteer led organization, but scoutings professional are our trained guides.
Scouting Professionals and Commissioners are both “Commissioned” in the service of Boy Scouts of America. They both share the wreath of service on there on the badge office. In fact Commissioners were the foundation from which scouting professional were drawn in Boy Scoutings early years and they still share that dedication today.
The Commissioner Service is staffed entirely by volunteers who are responsible for providing service to units. Through both an effective Roundtable programs and direct unit visits. We are the ears of the scouting program so if you have a concern or questions please let us know.
Roundtable Commissioners provide monthly fellowship, relevant training and up to date council news.
Unit Commissioners work with units through personal visits to unit functions. Commissioners listen to concerns and providing answers to scouting questions.
Commissioner services through our annual service include: rechartering help, charter partner relations, problem solving for units, insuring that Units meet national standards, and providing information about training, camping and activities.

The District Committee is lead by the District Chairman, who is the top volunteer responsible for the all of the districts functions.
Members of District Committees who serve on the various committees are responsible for starting new units; assisting in recruiting youth and adult members; raising funds for recruiting, training and camping facilities; providing recruiting, training and camping opportunities; providing opportunities for unit fund raising;and arranging activities. The District Committee is the unseen part of scouting, but it is the backbone of a successful scouting program. District Committees are most noticed when they are not able to fulfill their functions to units.
Your help is welcome and needed. Please contact the District chairman if want to help us improve our district.
